Death of Girish Puthenchery

Another blow to Malayalam film industry. After the death of famous actor Cochin Haneefa, now Malayalam film industry lost the talented Girish Puthenchery. He died on 10, February, 2010. Death was due to Brain hemorrhage. This was a shocking incident. He was only 48.

Girish Puthenchery has lent words to many hit Malayalam film songs. Some of his famous songs are ‘Kalambam tharam Bhaguvaney’ in Vadakkunathan, then ‘ Amma marakarinu’ in 'Madambi' .
He also wrote scripts for films such as Vadakkunathan, Pallavoor Devanarayanan etc. He wrote story for hit film ‘Meley Parambil Anu Veedu’.

He was born in Puthenchery, in Kozhikode district. He lived in Karaparamb, Kozhikode. His first wrote lyrics for the film 'Enquiry'.
